Suboxone Information Portal

TurnToHelp.com is an unbranded portal for the flagship product website Suboxone.com. Suboxone is a medical treatment for opioid addiction. As part of the group charged with creating this user-centric resource for self-assessment and opioid addiction information, I had wanted a way for users to navigate all of the site's resources and tools.

The focal point for this site is the narrator, a maternal and encouraging personality that directs user's attention to key features in the website. The choice for video makes the site engaging and inviting, but also allows challenged visitors to make better use of the website. The most visited link on this site is the "physician locator". A result screen presents the user with results with the recurrence of the narrator and a list of doctors in the geographic area on a google-map. If there are no available doctors, the narrator instructs the user on ways to change their query in order to achieve better results.

Addressing the sensitive subject of opioid addiction and the presence of audio, an industry first has been implemented for user privacy. This "privacy button" is in the form of a window-shade button. When clicked this tool floods the browser window with a faux-spreadsheet while pausing the video and muting the audio. When retracted, the user can continue their multimedia experience.

One of the concerns with prominently used flash for an unbranded website was maintaining natural search results. TurntoHelp.com also makes use of the narrator monologue for search results by including a transcript for search engines to index. This information is also tagged and cataloged in a sitemap file on the server. This method provides a strong natural index and an engaging and dynamic user interface.
